Caiyla Fry founded Skyecore Consulting after recognizing a need in the accounting world. With years of experience as a Controller and Finance Manager, she found it challenging to build a best-in-class accounting and finance department with limited time to focus on projects beyond the day-to-day tasks. Her team was often stretched thin, and she frequently felt the need for another team member who shared her understanding of the challenges and had the expertise to drive transformation. From this need, Skyecore Consulting was formed—a consulting firm businesses can depend on, built on a foundation of trust and a commitment to getting the work done right.

Caiyla has over 14 years of experience in accounting and finance, during which she quickly advanced into leadership roles. As a Finance Manager, she built processes for key accounting and finance functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Month-End Close, Gross to Net Accounting, and Budgeting and Forecasting. Caiyla also supported the implementation and testing of Oracle and maintained Hyperion for multiple subsidiaries. Later, she served as the Finance Business Partner for a newly acquired manufacturing site, where she remediated the accounting department, implemented stronger inventory processes, and provided crucial support for budgeting and financial analysis.

Caiyla later transitioned into Controller roles. As a Controller, she served as the Finance Lead for a NetSuite implementation. During the project, she evaluated current processes to determine business and technical requirements, performed user acceptance testing, and ensured controls were maintained throughout the data migration. Caiyla also has experience in accelerating a lengthy month-end close process. She has a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and improving processes to facilitate more accurate and timely financials. Her Controller experience includes researching margin variances, cleaning up accounting data, implementing Advanced Revenue Management in NetSuite, and creating value-added reporting for key stakeholders.
